Artists Statement

The work of Doug van Kampen is both an expression of who he is and a fulfilled life observing the world around him – taking in everything this life has to offer. In an attempt to convey a sense of purpose and emotion to those that find his images inspiring, the moment he presses the shutter represents a singular event, sometimes short, sometimes long. Each image is made and processed as a work of art, able to stand on it’s own, and able to inspire. The images are not just made for his own enjoyment, but for you to enjoy…timelessly representing his life as he’s seen it through his eyes.
