Bathed In Light
This is baby Chloe, our Niece, who was born while my family and I were down in California during this past summer. Those of you that follow my stream remember me posting this shot of her, which, was the only shot I was able to get of her right after her birth. Even though it was my first time shooting a newborn, I was extremely happy with being able to provide something like this for my Brother and Sister-in-Law.
It wasn’t until recently that I’ve had a chance to go back through some of the shots from the past year and reprocess a couple. This is among one of the first shots I’ve had a chance to run back through the process.
I was going for more of a directed light effect, complete with digital bokeh for added drama. To get a general idea of how this image was made, you may download a layered .psd file here. Enjoy!
